On Tuesday, December 17, the DE-RISK Project partners, Troya Environmental Association and UEDAŞ, hosted the User Engagement Workshop in Çanakkale, Türkiye, focusing on advancing local flexibility markets and promoting sustainable energy solutions. The event brought together experts, stakeholders, and participants to discuss key topics, including:
- Developing local flexibility markets

- Financing mechanisms
- Networking opportunities
The sessions featured insightful presentations and discussions, with speakers sharing their expertise and experiences:
- Aysun Kavcar, Head of Climate Change and Zero Waste at Çanakkale Municipality, provided valuable insights into the Çanakkale Climate Action Plan.
- Tugay Aktaş, Senior Chemist from ENV Environmental Company, introduced innovative ongoing projects in the environmental sector.
- Dr. Onur Sinan Türkmen, Lecturer at Çanakkale Onsekiz Mart University, President of the Çanakkale Chamber of Agriculture, and founder of Marghet Biotechnology, highlighted the critical role of renewable energy systems in agriculture.
