Crowdlending Campaign for Local Energy Flexibility Pilot in Murcia Reaches 100% Funding
We are glad to announce that the crowdlending campaign aimed at expanding the local energy flexibility pilot in Murcia has reached its goal, with 28 local investors fully funding the initiative. Launched on September 10, this campaign offers a unique opportunity for the local community to directly contribute to the development of renewable energy and energy efficiency solutions.
The funds will support MIW Energía in installing a photovoltaic self-consumption system in a Murcia home. In addition, energy monitoring devices will be installed to track electricity consumption, with the goal of optimizing energy use and reducing costs. This project is part of a broader effort to explore participation in a local energy flexibility market, where homes can actively contribute to grid stability and efficiency by adjusting their energy use based on real-time demand.
The crowdlending initiative is a significant step forward in empowering local communities to play an active role in the energy transition. The installation in Murcia not only promotes sustainable living but also serves as a valuable case study in assessing the impact of demand response mechanisms in residential settings.
This achievement marks another milestone for the DE-RISK Project, as it continues to foster innovative approaches to energy efficiency and local flexibility markets across Europe.
